Prices submitted by member pharmacies are unique so you can find the best deal and support your local pharmacy, many of which are small businesses in the community that need your help. Traditional discount cards are usually controlled by large Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM) that force pricing to pharmacies that may not be approved by them. Moreover these discount card programs may collect data from your pharmacy for marketing purposes and charge those pharmacies a fee that could bring the total price below their cost.
